Thanking others

We spend a lot of time waxing about this time of year on the subject of all the ethereal things we're thankful for. We gather with family and friends and ignore the people seated in front of us and blather on about whatever it is we think will most impress them.

So, this year, I'm suggesting a change. When your family does the obligatory go-round-the-table-saying-what-you're-thankful-for, look each one in the face and thank them for loving you and for sharing their life with you. We only get one of these, and we are but fibers on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. The only way we make things meaningful is to share our meager existence with others.

And, to that end, lets really make an effort to not annihilate any more people groups? Yeah?
