What we have seen in these days are a series of military victories. We have seen nothing that resembles justice. We have watched our Congress purposely circumvent justice because of some mythical construction of "safety." We have seen our leader fight but ultimately fail to bring about a possibility for justice. And now, as so often is the case, we will see military victories and not justice touted as a cause to retain leadership. We will also see those few who support justice oppose that retention because of the failure, in spite of the fact that the leader cannot unilaterally institute policy. This is irrationality plain and simple.
So, once again, if you don't mind, I will be mourning the state of my nation as we continue to barter peace for expediency.
