Walking on cold, wet winter days

I still remember what aircraft carriers smell like. I don't remember exactly how long ago I last wandered through one, but it's still right there. It smells something like a parking garage after a cold rain. It smells something like the long walk out to a commuter plane at the airport. But they capture only a thin layer of the complex scent.
